Overview

UNSW Sydney was established in 1949 and has grown into one of Australia’s most respected universities. Its main campus in Kensington is a short distance from Sydney’s city centre and is well connected by light rail and buses. The university teaches across six main faculties: Arts, Design & Architecture; Business; Engineering; Law & Justice; Medicine & Health; and Science. UNSW is widely recognised for its engineering, technology, and business programs and for research with strong industry partnerships.

Student Life and Campus Facilities

Students at UNSW have access to modern libraries, research labs, sports facilities, student housing, and many clubs and societies. The university also provides international student support, including orientation programs, academic skills help, career services, and health and wellbeing support. Sydney’s coastline, cultural life, and large part-time job market add to the student experience, although living costs in the city are higher than in most other Australian cities.
